About Us
We are a small, family-run business, into our third generation of costumiers (over 100 years experience between us!). We strive to provide the highest quality service and are sure you won't be disappointed.
All of our costumes are designed, created and cared-for in-house, so we can make exactly what you want to your own exacting standards.
If you don't see what you want on our website, do get in touch - we can probably help.
Please provide as much information as possible so that we can make an accurate quote on price, timescale's, etc.

Our Services |

Opening Hours & Appointments By appointment only, 7 days a week between 10am and 6pm. We also offer late night appointments on Wednesday evenings till 8pm. We're floating about monday till friday, but due to the nature of our work, please ring to make sure we're open before traveling. |

Costumes: If you see anything on our website that you wish to hire, simply drop us a line with your measurements and we can send out costumes via a courier. Courier charges are £7.50 inc vat , one way. Maximum number of costumes per box is 6. We aim to deliver 4 days before the event date and costumes must be returned within 7 days of event date. We can also arrange courier for return of costumes. Costumes, courier services and prices are subject to availability. Please telephone or email to confirm costumes and postage charges. Payment accepted over the telephone with most major credit/debit cards including American Express. Please note that to guarantee delivery for your event we prefer to send out costumes sometimes up to 10 days before your event so please book at least 2 weeks before and take advantage of the lowest courier prices. Items ordered after this timescale can, and usually do, increase courier charges, sometimes up to £20.00 per box. |

On Site Services Our on site dressing service is available throughout the UK and Ireland. We can set up changing facilities at any venue nationwide and offer a large selection of costumes, headdresses and accessories with full hands on help from our friendly staff. Based on a group of 50, we would normally take 80 costumes, allowing everyone plenty of choice in their size. This service ensures a good cross section of costumes is available and alleviates the problems encountered of finding suitable quality costumes. We carry ALL sizes shapes and styles in a huge array of colours to suit all personalities. Costume Company can arrange dressing facilities either on the day or even at your offices a couple of days before. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and we'll work around what suits your group. |

Room and table setup packages We offer a range of room and dressing packages to suit all budgets. From small intimate dinners, to full blown venue transformation. Using our range of Medieval props including our free standing Suits of armour, Flame lamps, shields and swords complete with our wooden tableware, candlesticks and goblets, anything is possible. We can setup on the day of your event and dismantle either the same evening or next morning. We stock a range of Medieval costumes suitable for waitressing and bar staff that are lightweight and easy to work in. We can also offer advice on suitable menus and have a list of recommended entertainers and minstrels, ensuring each element of your event is taken care of. |

Wedding & Event Co Ordination Take the strain out of organising your event with Costume Company's' Co Ordination expertise. After many years working within the entertainment and wedding industry we've gathered some invaluable 'insight' in what works and what doesn't. From table plans to trumpeters, cakes to castles, we've been there and done it. Our staff can be on hand throughout the event ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible and offer within our packages, Medieval style cakes, Wedding Invitations, Favours, Confetti Shoots, Horses in full Medieval Livery, Photographers to name but a few! | Wedding gowns We have a range of gowns in stock that can be hired of the rail. These dresses have been designed and made for previous brides and some can be seen on our Medieval Wedding gown pages. Although we only have these gowns in one or two sizes, all can be made to measure, either to buy or hire, to your size. All dresses are available to view and try on, along with headdresses, capes and tiaras. If you wish to have a dress made to measure, we would need to see you for fitting at least twice, but ultimately, the number of fittings you want is up to you. Timings: Ideally, we would normally start the process of designing etc between 6 - 9 months before your wedding day, with the final fitting about 4 weeks before. Each bride is individual and no two gowns are the same, so this process can vary. Once you have booked the date with us, we will work around timings and fitting to suit both parties. Depending on our workload, gowns can be designed and made with a 'quick turnaround' timescale of a minimum 4 weeks, but once you have made the decision to have your dress made by us, please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. 'Made to measure' dresses aren't available by mail order, although hired gowns can be sent after your final fitting and returned after your wedding, by courier.
